Eight years have passed since we began our research on the construction of historic Victorian bows.
During these three years, continuing to experiment, we have been able to understand the dynamics that develop in the bow when an arrow is shooted.
We were able to accurately define the distribution of limbs curves adapting them to the characteristics of the archer.
We have added new essences: Hickory and Osage in addition to the already consolidated use of Ipe.
The bow profile has come to version Eight, with the development of limbs differentials between the lower and the upper.
The curvature of the bow has become of a sinusoidal shape and is defined in terms of pounding and archer requirements.
In order to be so flexible, a modular template has been created to give shape to the bow.
Insert a hardwood reinforcement in the tip area to allow us to narrow them as much as possible and offer less friction with the air during the release phase.
Reded the handle to which a preload curve was given to avoid the formation of acute angles at its extremities.
Thickened the handle inside to avoid structural stress.
Tools for the progressive tapering of the limbs has been constructed that allows the distribution of the loads evenly.
